Robbie D. Moore

Montgomery-Lee Fine Art | Robbie D. MooreRobbie is the fifth out of his parent’s six children. He saw his older siblings’ courage and decided to leave Idaho to pursue his higher education. At the time, he knew nothing better than to get a Business Degree, but after one year at the University of Arkansas, he knew that he had a deep rooted passion for art that he could not ignore.

Robbie completed his Business Finance degree while making the most of his free time by working with children, participating in a fraternity, and working a variety of jobs. He came to realize people did not see the beauty around them. Robbie had been raised to acknowledge and revel in the beauty around him. No business school could change that.

In 2018, as he started his artistic journey, the majority of Robbie’s time was spent drawing. He studied books from Bridgeman and Loomis on figures and anatomy, followed by Carlson on landscape painting. His time as his father’s apprentice over the years has, of course, been more valuable than any self-teaching Robbie could manage.

Beyond drawing, Robbie had been able to handle Gouache and watercolor in his limited, college-living spaces. Once 2021 rolled around, he was commissioned by his employer to complete 12 oil paintings for a 2020 company calendar with a second printing scheduled for 2023. This was exactly the motivation Robbie needed to jumpstart his work in oils. Since that time, Robbie has continued painting on the weekends as he works full time with SupplyPike, a young and vibrant startup in North Western Arkansas.

Robbie’s future aspirations lie in a desire to make the most out of his upbringing. He plans on continuing his art education through every outlet available while developing business skills which will enable future art endeavors. Big things are coming as he continues down this road alongside his father, siblings, and their beautiful network of like minded artists. Robbie’s innate sense of wonder will continue to draw him back to the world of fine art in which he was raised.
