Dale Terbush

Montgomery-Lee Fine Art | Dale TerbushDale Terbush was born in Chicago but spent his youth in Southern California. Early on, he discovered that painting was his life’s calling, developing a deep desire to excel in his creativity. However, as he grew older, he felt the pressure to find a more stable career. Despite striving to become a full-time artist, repeated rejections from galleries forced him to seek corporate work as an interior designer for a large restaurant chain in California.

Dale’s remodeling efforts proved to be exactly what the restaurant chain needed. His success led to more remodeling projects across the country, and his drive quickly propelled him to the position of Vice President of one of the largest restaurant chains in the world. During his eleven-year tenure, he successfully designed over 300 establishments but found that he had only created about 20 paintings.

Although highly successful, Dale realized that his corporate life was restricting his creativity. In the early 1990s, he decided to move to New Mexico to seriously pursue painting. His focus on his art propelled his career, and it wasn’t long before he built an avid collector base and gained worldwide recognition. Terbush has since broken gallery records globally, including four spectacular sell-out shows in Japan.

You don’t buy a Terbush painting to match your sofa, you buy it because you feel an emotional attachment

Dale’s art is electrifying, exciting, and bold. He paints moods and creates scenes of pure magic. With changing light from dim to bright, his paintings appear to come to life, as if the sun rises or sets along the horizon.
